Meet Sofia Lobatos L.E.

Hi friend! 

My name is Sofy Lobatos and I’m a licensed esthetician based in Dallas, TX. I graduated at the Aveda Institute of Arts & Sciences in Dallas, specializing in the holistic treatment of skin. I’ve been practicing in the beauty world since 2020!

I’ve furthered my education by obtaining certifications with brands like Circadia skincare,  Skinscript, Jan Marini and PCA. I’ve also focused on advanced treatments such as chemical peels, microinfusions, nanoneedling and brow/lash styling. 

My upbringing:

Raised in El Paso, Texas as a first generation mexican immigrant, I was tasked from a young age to carry my culture with pride in everything I do. I always felt that I wanted to give back to my community in some way, so my family traveled to Dallas to broaden my horizons and do just that. 

I buried myself in my education and in the field of connecting with others; volunteering and working various sectors of the service industry to sharpen my skills. I wanted to be in every setting, meet with all people of all backgrounds to grow my interpersonal skills the best I could. 

It was a huge shock to my family when I, their 4.0-GPA-pride-and-joy, dropped out of college to become a beautician: a career largely stigmatized as “unrealistic” in my family. 

It didn’t deter me back then - and looking back it was the best decision I could’ve made. 

Since pursuing this field, I’ve had the honor to meet and hold space for others in a way I would’ve never been able to before. It has changed me wholeheartedly.

I hope to change the wellness industry to include

people like myself, to make space for BIPOC communities and make this industry as inclusive as possible.
